The place consists principally of one long street, at the east end of which are some elegant houses in open situations. Many improvements have been effected in it, the most conspicuous being an elegant chapel in the English style, consecrated by the present Bishop of Chester. It is in the parish of Heversham, a neat and pleasant village, about a mile further on. ... | ||
