"Presbyterian Meeting House now United Reformed Church. 1789. Cement rendered walls on rubble plinth, under graduated greenslate roof. Single storey, 3 bays. Early C19 gabled sandstone porch has plank door in pointed arch. Sash windows in painted stone surrounds with rounded heads, false key and impost blocks. Interior has C19 furnishings, some of the pew doors remaining with painted numbers. Unusual that this chapel has a small graveyard. Built on the site of an earlier chapel of 1712, see Transactions Cumberland & Westmorland Antiquarian &Archaeological Society, new series, v, pp.150-171."
