source data:-	courtesy of English Heritage "Bar wing at rear of present hotel is probably early C18, of white washed stone rubble with slate roof, 2 storeys, centre panelled door with slate hood, 2 C19 sash windows on ground floor and 3 above all with labels, and gable over centre. Former stables and coach-house to left, lower, also white- washed, with segmental headed coach entrance, and the rest new (two doors, 4 upper windows). The main portion of the present hotel is C19 with recent additions and should not be included."
