Painting, watercolour, NE Prospect of the Country up Thurston Water from Peelnears, ie Coniston Water, Lancashire, by Stephen Penn, 1733.
The viewpoint is perhaps Peel Island, opposite High Peel Near on the eastern shore; the lake is Coniston Water; the direction of the view is South.
