Map, uncoloured engraving, A Map of Cumberland, scale
about 3.5 miles to 1 inch, engraved by John Cary, London,
1789.
The map is sectioned into 4 sheets and inserted in the 5th
edition of Thomas West's Guide to the Lakes, 1793. Each
section is mounted on paper to provide a safe margin beside
the internal cuts.
The map was originally published in the William Gough
translation of Camden's Britannia, London, 1789.
