Strip map, road map, a road ending North Allerton, and the road To Kendal by Halifax and Settle, scale about 8 or 9 miles to 1 inch, engraved by Gardner, published by Charles Smith and Son, 172 Strand, London, 1826.
Published in Smith's New Pocket Companion to the Roads of England and Wales, and part of Scotland.
p.85 - from south of Barnsley, through Wakefield, Leeds, Ripley, Ripon, Yorkshire.
p.86 - continued to North Allerton, Yorkshire AND from Sheffield, through Penistone, Huddersfield, to past Halifax, Yorkshire.
p.87 - continued through Keighley, Skipton, Settle, and near Ingleton, Yorkshire; then Kirkby Lonsdale to Kendal, Westmorland.
The distances are from Hick's Hall, London.
