hearsay:-  
The present bells were cast from new metal by Taylors of Loughborough, in coronation year, 1953. Inscribed:-
"[Ex Dono Isel Ann Coron. Eliz II. 1953]"
The old bells, dating from about 1375, continued in use to 1953, although one was broken and one cracked. The churchwardens reported, 1706:-
"it was reported by the Churchwardens that one of the bells in the church is broken"
The old bells were stolen, 1982.
