BWY83.jpg Conglomerate. (taken 27.7.2012) BWY84.jpg Brathay Flags. (taken 27.7.2012) |
||
The same conglomerate and flags as at trail point 10 are exposed here but in the opposite
order; conglomerate upstream, brathay flags downstream, and more steeply bedded. There
is a syncline between the two viewpoints, the trough in the brathay flags filled with
conglomerate. |

BWY85.jpg Brathay Flags a little downstream; bedded vertically. (taken 27.7.2012) |
||
The brathay flags are said to have 'abundant' fossil graptolites. 15 minutes hard
looking in freshly eroded rocks failed to locate a graptolite. |
