Snecked, squared limestone with red sandstone dressings; graduated slate roof. 1 storey, 3 bays with full-width wing to rear. Chamfered plinth. Quoined central doorway with shouldered lintel; plaque above reads 'WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL/ THIS STONE WAS LAID BY/ MR J S LAWN/ JULY 29th/ 1896'. Outer bays have quoined cross-windows with 9-pane transom lights. Ogee cast-iron gutter; roll-moulded, terracotta ridge tiles with ventilators; corniced end stack on right. Right return: windows as front; gable slit; panelled double door with overlight. Included for group value." |
