source data:- | courtesy of English Heritage "Water-powered corn mill, now public house. Probably mid C19 on earlier site. Rubble with slate roof. East gable of 3 storeys and 3 bays. The windows have plain reveals and all except the outer ones on the 2nd floor have segmental arches. They now have C20 casements with glazing bars. In the centre on the ground floor there is a doorway, and the loading door in the centre of the 2nd floor has a single pane of glass and has a steel crane beam above. A quoin at the left-hand (south-east) corner is carved with 4 small heads in relief. The southern wall, facing Mill Street, is of 2 storeys and 2 bays." "INTERIOR: said to retain mill machinery." |
