End projecting turrets with projecting parapets. Central pointed arch, partially blocked with remains of quatrefoil and blocked square window above. Arch flanked by large blocked arrow slits. Turrets have blocked slot windows with arrow slits above. Right return wall remains, with openings at ground and 1st floor level. To rear are remains of floors and footings of left return and rear walls. Built for one of the large houses on the shore of Coniston Water." |
