Scored stucco, graduated slate roof. 3 storeys; 3 bays to Ulverston Road with 2-storey, 1-bay side wing on right; 2-bay left return to Queen Street. Raised quoins and raised window surrounds, those to ground and first floors with grooved wedge lintels. Angled corner entrance (now blocked) beneath patterned lintel. Ground-floor window to right has paired sashes; bays 3 and 4 with altered 4-pane sashes. 1st floor: 12-pane sashes to each bay; bay 4 window smaller and set lower. 2nd floor: 6-pane sashes with sills set on lintels below; coving above corner entrance; eaves cornice formed by moulded gutter. Hipped roof; bay 4 with small, pitched roof. Left return: generally as front; door between the windows. Rendered stacks to left end and on ridge." |
