There were once just 2 bells; one of these, cast in the 15th century, is preserved in the body of the church; inscribed:-
"[John is my name]"

"[JOHANNES EST NOMEN MEUM]" late 14th early 15th century. It was used up to 1869. It then went to Ecclerigg but was returned here 1948.
