hearsay:- |
An 8 mile line was planned to lead from the LNWR main line, Lancaster to Carlisle
Railway, just north of the granite quarry, Shap, to the site of the Hawes Water dam,
when it was being built. There was also to be a branch to a dam site in Swindale.
Neither ofthese were ever built. |
