Transactions in the last Session of Parliament; ...
Feb. 3. ...
Several resolutions from the committe [ways and means] to
which the several petitions relating to marking sheep with
pitch and tar, were referred, being reported, were ordered
to be considered on a subsequent day; they were considered
accordingly Feb. 14, in a committee of the whole
house, and were dropt; petitions having been presented
against it from Westmoreland and Yorkshire;
and Mr Th-n-n, having fully shewn that the
regulations in the bill were quite needless, and would
therefore have a bad effect in that part of the kingdom.
