k The Roll recites the previous grant thus:
"nuper," &c. "concessimus," &c. "licentiam,"
&c., "kernellandi quandam cameram in villa de Penreth
super March. Scociae. Nos de uberiori gratia nostra
concessimus," &c., "licentiam quod ipse unum mantelletum
de petra et calce facere et camerae praedictae conjungere et
mantelletum praedictam kernellare," &c. The name is
misspelt in both instances: there can be no doubt it ought
to be Strickland.
