This is the first geological map of any country; the map is in 15 sheets, 3 across by 5 up, size about 6x8 feet. Counting from bottom left, Westmorland and Cumberland are on sheet 11, fourth row up, middle. The accompanying geological memoir was published as 'A MEMOIR TO THE MAP AND DELINEATION OF THE STRATA OF ENGLAND AND WALES, WITH PART OF SCOTLAND.
