This is a new version of the road book originally published by Daniel Paterson, London, 1771.
Published as 'PATERSON' ROADS; BEING AN ENTIRELY ORIGINAL AND ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF ALL THE DIRECT AND PRINCIPAL CROSS ROADS IN England and Wales, WITH PART OF THE ROADS OF SCOTLAND. THE SIXTEENTH EDITION. The book has a general map of England and Wales, scale about 24 miles to 1 inch, and a miscellany of area maps predicated upon travels described in the text, these include a map of The Lakes; the book size is 14.5x22cm.
