Three quarter length portrait of the Earl of Lonsdale in
late middle age, seated in an armchair with his legs
crossed, his left arm resting on a table standing beside
him. He faces slightly to the right, his gaze directed in
the same direction. He wears a high collared shirt and
stock, waistcoat and a jacket with velvet collar. He also
wears a sash and medal.
