Autumnal view of Esthwaite from an elevated perspective. A winding path leads towards the shore from left hand side of composition. A farmstead in a stand of trees lies at bottom centre, a tree covered promontory to its right. A lone yacht sails on the calm waters. Clouds descend over the fells rising beyond the far shore of the lake.
