Painting, watercolour, Entrance Hall, Naworth Castle,
Brampton, Cumberland, by Matthew Ellis Nutter, 1830s-40s.
Stone flagged hall empty except for three partial suits of
armour suspended above the fireplace to left of composition
and benches ranged along both side walls. To right, six
windows placed high in the wall. Elaborately carved and
painted ceiling and painted wall at the far end of the hall.
Looking east.
