In this monochromatic woodcut print we are shown a three quarter length depiction of Robert Burns, with his gaze directed towards the viewer. He wears a ruffled shirt and frock coat. Robert Burns was an eighteenth century Scottish poet, and is regarded as a pioneer of the Romantic movement. He is now widely thought of as Scotland's favourite poet.
