Painting, watercolour, Seascale, Cumberland, by Frederick
Clive Newcome, 1884.
Seashore on a breezy day with a storm threatening; sandy
beach at low tide viewed from tan elevated viewpoint amongst
the sand dunes. On the beach two men make a small fire
beside a rowing boat whilst further along the beach two
figures stand at the water's edge. To left of composition
the buildings of the town stand on the clifftop, distant
hills rising beyond.
