Trade card, folded, uncoloured engraving, advertising Sly's Waterhead Hotel, proprietor Joseph Sly, Consiton, Lancashire, ?printed by the Daily Post, Cable Street, Liverpool, about 1876.
The cover has a print of the hotel and a map; the reverse has descriptive text; there is a pasted in text about Lounging about Coniston Lake, by an invalid, 1876.
The map includes an area from Keswick to Bowness-on-Windermere, scale about 8 miles to 1 inch, the Waterhead Hotel overprinted at the top of Coniston Lake; the same map has been found on other trade cards.
