Album, first of two volumes of photographs, Examples of Early Domestic and Military Architecture in Westmorland, East and West Wards, by Herbert Bell, photographer, Ambleside, Westmorland, 1910.
A contents list gives a caption, the ecclesiastical parish and date of each photograph. In volume I the photographs are dated in the 1890s and 1900s.
The photographs are recorded separately. Remember that the caption gives the ecclesiastical parish, not the current civil parish, and that the letter after is E for East Ward or W for West Ward.
Photo no.42 is out of position, between 39 and 40.
