Printed by Thomas Kell and Sons, 20 King Street, Covent Garden, London.
The bill for this railway was put forward to Parliament in 1886; strongly opposed by Canon H D Rawnsley, the Lake District Defence Association, and others, including an article in the Daily Telegraph, 15 November 1886; and was withdrawn when the LNWR withdrew their support.
