Book, atlas, 3 tooled leather bound volumes, Britannia, or A Chorographical Description of the Flourishing Kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland, by William Camden, 1586, translated from Latin by Richard Gough, published London, 1789.
The frontispiece is an engraved portrait of William Camden, 1789; there is a life of Camden, general historical text and then the countries are dealt county by county arranged in groups by the british tribes, the text including notes about archaeology and natural science; the maps included in the volumes are by John Cary and E Noble.
