THIS Priory was dedicated by Bernard second Bishop of Carlisle, to the Homnour of Mary Magdalen. All its Privileges & Possessions were conirm'd by K. Rich : I. King Edw : I. in the 35th. Year of his Reign, dated his Writts from this Priory, for ye Summoning a Parliament to be held at Carlisle. It is now a Parochial Church. The Impropriator is ye Rt. Honble.
