Guide book, A Concise Description of the English Lakes, by Jonathan Otley, 1823, published by Jonathan Otley, Keswick, Cumberland, by John Richardson, Royal Exchange, London, and by Arthur Foster, Kirkby Lonsdale, Westmorland, 4th edn 1830.
The book is cloth bound. It has:- map as frontispiece, title page, preface, contents list; pp.9-180 descriptive text including outline views, itineraries, notes on botany, geology, meteorology, and the black lead mine at Seathwaite.
Note that the prefatory matter is pp.i to viii, and text pages start at 9 not 1.
