from the south, through Lancaster, Lancashire; then Burton 7 to Kendal, 4 Kanesdale Horse, 6 Stone Heaps, 3 Thrumby, Westmorland; 5 to Penrith, 7 Hasket, 5 Carlton, to Carlile, continues 7 to Longtown, Cumberland; 7 to Kirksope; and into Scotland; ending at Berwick, Northumberland.
Other roads are:-
from Kendal, through Ambleside, Westmorland; then Keswick, Cockermouth to Whitehaven, Cumberland.
