"Parish Church, dating from C12 with later additions and alterations. Sandstone blocks with buttressing under graduated slate roofs. 2-cell plan with chapel to north and south; south porch. For description and plan see R.C.H.M. pp 237-238; not mentioned in their account are the panelled box pews in the nave, all numbered, dating from 1716 (date, with initials C.W. at top of door to pew no. 42 in north-west corner of nave)."
