The treble (south) was given by Lord Rea, Gatehouse, in memory of his son, 1955-56. Inscribed:-
"JOHN TAYLOR &CO. FOUNDERS. GLORIAM DEI CANO. MCMLV. IN MEMORIAM PIERS REA."
The tenor (north) was recast in 1955, including an earlier inscription:-
"[ANIMA MEA REQUISCE IN PACE 1687. Taylor Loughborough. Re-cast 1955.]"
The earlier mark of an earlier bellfounder is:-
"[W S]"
either William Sellar, York or William Scott, Wigan, late 71th century. Also, cold cut into the bell:-
"[T. S. 1287]"
which is thought to be a transposition for 1827, about the date of the present fittings.
