A group of mountain bikers, who had arranged by the internet to make a trip together,
arrived at Low Sadgill about midday. One of their group had come off his bike, got
a compound fracture of a wrist and a dint on the head - please can we phone for an
ambulance. The casualty walked down to here, and was settled in the warm kitchen with
hot soup. The ambulance service response was not brilliant, what happened was the
Kendal Mountain Rescue turned up to help, and were very proficient. |

| Checking the tyre for a hole had problems - can I go inside where it's quieter to
listen for the a hiss - no success - do you want a bucket of water - yes, can it be
warm! |
