"Built 1797 as a Methodist Chapel, the preaching to be limited to the New Testament and sermons of John Wesley. Small plain rectangular building of stone rubble with quoin and slate roof. Two plain windows on west and south sides (no glazing) and two round- arched windows on north gable end. Later brick chimney on south-west corner. East wall not visible from street, and entrance is through roadside cottage."
