Square plan approx. 4 metres wide. and 4.3 metres high, built into slope; battered front and sides, with 2 stepped-back tiers above the draw-hole opening, which is slightly shouldered and has a drip-stone over it. Buttress to left side. Round bowl on top." "INTERIOR: barrel-shaped draw hole with flat roof made of large flagstones. Good example of its type. Forms group with Gibbs Hall Farmhouse (qv)." |
