Hammer-dressed calciferous and pink sandstone, with battlemented parapet and bracketed cornice, on rectangular plinth. 3-storey, 2-bay oval tower with higher circular chimney to rear. Doorway and windows on various levels in weathered architraves, now all open and barred. Chimney has brick-arched stoke holes at base. Battlemented parapet below neck of chimney to match the engine house. Pumping of this pit was discontinued in 1875." |
