Stone walls, with earth covering roofs. Entrance to west has slate door; 2 inner doors to passage. Chamber has floor sloping to central drain and spiral brickwork to dome; iron ventilating pipe to top. The oldest remaining ice house in Cumbria (Transactions CWAAS, 1981)." |
