Coursed red sandstone rubble walls, graduated slate roof, C19 yellow brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays with former cottage right (now one property), 2 storeys, 2 bays. Former pub has 6-panel top glazed door with chamfered surround and dated lintel. 2-pane ground floor sash windows have chamfered stone surrounds; 2-light stone mullioned sash windows with glazing bars above, have chamfered surrounds. Former cottage right, has plank door with quoined surround. C20 casement windows with glazing bars, all with plain painted stone surrounds. Called Gelt Inn c1900 and closed c1974, retaining its later pub name. Listed partly for G.V. with the nearby railway bridge." |
