by the Name of the KIRK-GATE Turnpike Gate at Cockermouth in the County of Cumberland,
will be Let by Auction to the best Bidder, for the Term of Two or Three Years, at
the House of JOHN MEELS, Innholder, in Cockermouth; on Monday the 17th Day of FEBRUARY
next, between the hours of Twelve and Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in manner
directed by the Act passed in the Thirteenth Year of the reign of his Majesty King
George the Third, for regulating the Turnpike Roads. The Tolls were Let the last Three
Years at the annual Rent of 80l. and will be put up at that Sum.]" |
