source data:- | courtesy of English Heritage "2 houses now public house. Dated and inscribed: "T&AN 1682" but this is in fact 1762. Painted rough-cast walls outer limestone rubble with quoins, under graduated green slate roof with painted-render chimney stacks. Formerly 2 houses, 2 storeys, 3 bays each under common roof with rear 2-storey extension and left single-storey lean-to right-angle extension. Central, to both houses, double C20 doors in painted stone surround within C20 gabled wooden porch. Sash windows with glazing bars, a central one in the right house being in a partly blocked doorway with dated lintel, all in painted stone surrounds." |
