"[Notice is hereby given that the tolls arising at Cockermouth Town-Head, on the branch
of the Turnpike Road leading towards Hesket, will be LET TO FARM by auction to the
best bidder, at the house of John Meek, innholder in Cockermouth aforesaid, on Monday
the 12th Day of May next, for the term of Three Years, between the hours of Twelve
and Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in Manner directed by the Act passed in the
13th Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the Third, for regulating the Turnpike
Roads.]" |
