Erected by the Reverend Thomas Williamson in memory of his father who for many years apparently walked up to High Knott each day. A plaque on the East side bears the inscription:" "In Memory of / THOMAS WILLIAMSON / of Height, in Hugill, Gent. / who died Feb 15th 1797 / Aged 66 Years / [Erected 1803]" |
