Whitewashed rubble on chamfered plinth under graduated greenslate roof with coped gables. 3-bay nave with west double bellcote; single-bay chancel with north vestry. Nave has west double doors in C18 stone architrave with cornice. North wall is medieval but south wall was rebuilt in 1730 and the west wall refaced. Diamond-paned windows in keyed round-headed arches, surrounds with shutter hinge brackets. Bellcote rebuilt 1914, with bell of no interest. Chancel and vestry of 1837 have similar windows to nave except for 3-light east window in Decorated style which is probably from the medieval chancel. Interior has 1914 open timber roof. West wall has plaque to Thomas Thomlinson 1803 and painted arms board recording gift of Thomas Cape 1773. C18 font on medieval base. Late C15 depressed chancel arch. Chancel has C19 and C20 wall plaques to the Gillbanks family of Whitefield House. Recesses in east wall for pater and creed boards now missing.
