notes:- |
Before 1866 the people of Arnside had to travel to Beetham to worship. In 1866 a new
church was completed, architect Miles Thompson, Kendal. This was a chapel of Beetham,
but became a parish church in its own right in 1876. The west end was extended, 1884;
a north aisle added, 1905; a south aisle and the vestry added, 1914. |
