source data:- | courtesy of English Heritage "Founded in 1811 as a single building, square in plan, subdivided into four almshouses. Coursed, squared rubble with quoins. Pyramidal roof of graduated slates has cross-shaped, corniced, stone central chimney stack. 2 storeys; single storey lean-to under hipped, graduated slate roof added to east and west sides. North and south sides have 2 sashes to each floor and a part-glazed door to the ends of each lean-to. Both east and west sides have 2 sashes to 1st floor and 2 sashes to lean-to; west side has foundation plaque centrally placed in lean-to. All windows (and plaque) are in stone surrounds." |
