hearsay:- |
A vicar in the mid 19th century used to open the north door of the church before services
on Sunday, to chase the devil out. |
|
Once some children at Sunday school quietly escaped through this door while the vicar
had his eyes shut for the closing prayer - his congregation was spirited away! |
