hearsay:-
There was a church here before 1225, built by the inhabitants as a chapel of ease to Brigham. It is not known how often it was rebuilt or modified.
A new church was built 1794; in 1870 it was restored and altered, a tower being added for a bell; in 1901 the baptistry was built.
