James Dawson, garage owner and bicycle mechanic, caught the largest salmon ever in
The Lakes, 26lb, from the River Duddon, 1936. He laid it on a concrete slab in front
of his house near the bridge and marked its outline with a 6 inch nail and a hammer,
besides posing for photographs. |
