Inscriptions - round the coat of arms '[Let mercy and faithfulness never gone frome the.]' and below '[At this time is Rowland Vaux lord of this place, and builded this house in the year of God, 1577.]' The arms are Vaulx Family of Catterlen quartered with Delamore Family.
