| The locomotive looks like a Simplex 40HP 8 ton standard gauge version of a series
of locos originally made for the War Department, 1914-18, possibly made by Motor Rail
or another company. Used at Burneside 1924-64; it is said to be at Haverthwaite, in
pieces. The private owners wagons were used 1910-39. |

the collection at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway). |
